Afterglow

Ours is a flawed world, a world of flawed lives made up of millions upon millions of perfect moments.
The pieces don’t always fit, but strip any experience to its component parts and you will find a subtle form of bliss.
A song you haven’t heard since you last had a soul, a dark haired lover spread naked on white sheets, cold beer for a throat dry from ragged breath.
Good things.
A hot bath after a three day binge, washing away the sweat and sin, painted red lips against pale, clean skin, then the room again…scent of sex heavy under the cigarette smoke, and those crisp white sheets, and he…
He is not clean.
Slip between the sheets, quick, the room isn’t cold but this could be a dream…
Flicker of the TV the only light playing over this scene. Settle back, little shy, against the strange yet familiar body beside you, settle in…breath warm on your throat, that old move, arm slipping round you, hand on breast, pulling you back into the gentle, commanding thrust of his hips, commanding…but not urgent.
A promise.
Turn your head…he is only that much taller than you, tilt your chin just a little…
A kiss…no, don’t close your eyes.
Another point of contact.
Don’t think of what came before.
You’re tired now, and hints of dark blue morning are creeping into the room.
Now is the time to close your eyes.
All of this could end with the dawn.

Flesh Wounds

I remember, once upon a time
when my existence was solely comprised of
…light and consciousness
moving freely amongst the heavens
I looked down upon the earth and became
Africa
from there I had been exported, deported
forcefully incorporated into a system
that tried it’s damnedest to extort
….every ounce of my dignity
found myself enslaved
…and wasn’t standing for it
I became enraged
an enmity had risen within me
discovered that somehow I had became
…my own worst enemy
society had my number
eight-five-five-five-zero-three
(committed to memory)
thought they had a snitch
quite amusing how they got it all twisted
especially considering how many times
…I came so close to putting someone six feet under
finally I stood out in the wind
quieted my mind and took the time to listen
I was advised to not use weapons of fear
instead , was urged to wield my pen
that if I would be patient
I could rest assured  that one day
my words would be heard
still, I kept hearing noises
…and some strange voices
growing ever so tired of (constantly) being deceived
…of making bad choices, of ingesting earthly poison
had to reach….but I didn’t dare reach out

(as no one would listen)
so I reached deep within
…and managed to summon the strength
now my life is all about redemption
while Truth serves as my stipend
living within strife
…was not a good way for each new day to arrive
particularly after I came back to remembrance
that there is much more, than this life
forgotten now, about the matters of the flesh
I once so diligently pursued
the scars they left behind were merely
…flesh wounds

Synchronous Envisage

When a man takes the time to consider the idealization of atmospheric motion
Especially focusing on the behavior of one isolated parcel
Acknowledging it's ease of fluctuations on both the vertical and horizontal planes
It's density and intensity
How It may react when subjected to forces acting on it as well as against it
He thus begins to obtain a qualitative understanding and interpretation
Which moves him forward to the visualization
...of establishing a harmonic union with such motion
Leading him to consider the addition of other variables to the equation
Such as the infusion of certain material derivatives
Which would affect change in acceleration and velocity
After establishing spatial compatibility
He must be aware of sustaining a balanced friction force
...that will adapt with the temporal changes in pressures gradients
Thus allowing a union that has arrived at a dynamic equilibrium with the parcel

Love Me Some You

(spoken lyrics)

(open)

As I walk along the shore and look out into the vastness of the sea. Listening intently upon my heart, as it responds to the urgings of the ocean winds. I started thinking about how love is, or at least should be, all encompassing. Yet, many people try to quantify it. Then I thought of how so many people come into and touch our lives. Don't we find ourselves loving each of them a certain way?

(verse 1)

Thinking of you
Living for you
Praying for you
Smiling at you
Laughing with you
Believing in you
Everything you feel
…I feel it too
Cried over you
Funny how so many things...
...reminds me of you

What would I do
…if there wasn't a you
I may have already been dead
...had it not for you
Whatever I have...
…I will share it to you
If need be
...I would even kill for you
For you, there's nothing in this world I wouldn't do
You're happiness, I will always see to
Simply because
I love me some you

(verse 2)

I Love you enough to argue with you
Look you in the eyes and tell you the truth
Realize when I’m wrong
…and seek forgiveness from you
Give you your space
…and let you do what you do
Even on those days
…when I got to have me some you
Remember when we sat all night
…and starred at the moon
Never uttering a word
…because we already knew
Whether you’re near me or not
…with your spirit I'm always attuned
Thinking of you
Living for you
Praying for you
Smiling at you
Laughing with you
Believing in you
Everything you feel
…I feel it too
Thankful for you
You're happiness, I will always see to
Simply because
I love me some you

Soft

Soft is the feeling of comfort
When it surrounds you
And keeps you warm

Soft can be what you feel
When you think of someone
Soft can be the feeling of Love

Valentine Lovers

(haiku's)

Valentine lovers
A mysterious wonder
Like a double rainbow

As deep red roses
Shine the garden of ours hearts
Immortal pretty

l picked them each day
Red flowers from the meadow
But none like you

Sated
(haiku's)

Blood flows sudden surge
Saturation overflow
Desire engulfing

Breathless murmurs thrill
With passions voice caressing
Fused limbs intertwined

Sated in your arms
Serene Slumbers afterglow
Smiling lips embrace

All I want is you

Untitled
(haiku's)

oh heart of my heart
breath meets your warm beating soul
forever be mine

cupid’s bow show me
sting of love within your core
infatuation

carnal knowledge sifts
a sensual rendezvous
come hither to me

Enough
(haiku's)

Coming to my shore
Waves of delightful passion
Receding in joy

Two become one,
Bodies, souls meshed in desire
Nothing else matters.

Aching, wanting, touch
Loving, needing, exploring you
Fulfillment, enough

Lost in Translation, Again

Someone tell me what to do
Why is no one listening?
My heart is broken, my mind in despair.
Will no one come to my side?
I am forced to quiet my inner self.
The storm is beginning to pass, slowly.
Who just said that? Did I hear someone?
“You already know what to do”.
There it is again. That annoying voice.
So, why won’t somebody help me?
I don’t know what to do.

WISH
(haiku's)

Naked in my sheets
I lay back and think of you
Wishing you were here

Sensuous stories
Whispered in each others ears
Erotic tongues tease

Enter the dragon
Fire too hot to subdue
Now I drift to you

Hera's Incarnation(s)

     (in haiku)

Illumination

her regal aura
erases my skepticism
still pinching myself

Mindful

smiled when I saw you
I shall extol the heavens
divinely smitten

Cognizant

your loving spirit
a vestige of hope long lost
I recognize you

Assent

I must give credence
my veneration ignited
pentecostal flames
