Sun Says Hello

against the canvas of the universe
illuminated by the stars in the distance
the moon is enclosed in a deep, dark stillness
it's majesty spreading a calming influence over the natural order
polarity
behold! divine perfection
the stars disappear, giving way to..
..a haze of purple, orange, and blue
watercolors
veiled slightly by silky clouds
the sun has began it's rise to eminence
misty morning dew
flowers in full bloom
ocean breezes speaking
music
listen closely
the song of all creation can be heard
as salutations are exchanged while crossing the path of purpose
the sun smiles and says
..goodbye moon..

Beautiful Tomorrow

she had waited so patiently
just a few words she wanted to say to me
(shall I)
now she stares into my eyes endlessly
how could she have known about my sensibilities
(water, acceptance)
walks taken to breathe the cool air fresh
firmly holding hands as we coalesce
(clouds in the distance)
in my brain, being driven to the insane, but I won’t complain
I pause and ask God to…… PLEASE EXPLAIN!!
(essential)
for once I dare
so easily I can share
(naked, wings)
I knew of her presence that time would bereave me
now that she is gone, joyously I grieve
(radiance, warmth)
this love I feel is far beyond the usual
holding firmly to memories that makes each tomorrow so…beautiful
(time and space dissipates)

Don't Kill The Messenger

(short story with senryu’s)

It was after a long week where his days were spent performing valuable  community service and evenings spent preparing for an important oration that he was to deliver soon that found himself here. Desperate need of stress relief and perhaps counsel for his own inner conflict was his reasoning for seeking her comfort.

The flames from several candles placed throughout the room lit the ambiance and the fragrance of eucalyptus and spearmint that spread throughout provided soothing reassurance. They stare intently upon each other as they both disrobe. She can see in him a somewhat shy naiveté. He notices the seasoned voluptuousness within her. Slowly they begin the explorative touching which eases them into an erotic  manifestation, “touch me, feel me”, she prompts him…

two souls discover
divine exhilaration
temporal vigor

thunderous his thrusts
such an immense exertion
a blissful edict

Delightfully satisfied as they lay there catching their breath after absorbing each others intensity, they engage in small talk sharing certain aspects of their lives with one another and how it was they came together. She truthfully told him that a string of bad relationships and substance abuse habit that she has now fully recovered from landed her in the life. He openly shared with her the bitter divorce he endured and how he struggled to maintain his public stature. She offers him words of solace before he is to leave,“it’s ok, we all are human”. He pays her the agreed upon asking fee and departs.

The next morning he arrived at his sanctuary with a bit of nervousness within about what had occurred last night.  From his vantage point the turnout will be very good as the parishioners begin making their way into the congregation and settling in. After a few selections from the choir the processional is completed. His mental notes are in order as he is fully prepared to deliver his oratory. Reflecting momentarily on the last statement the woman made to him as he was leaving, he steps up to the pulpit, wipes his eyebrows and says, “let us open our bibles to”……

Rage

Photobucket

damn, all I can think about is when
she first got all up in my grill
a little sly but...defiantly flaunting herself
I was loving her confidence...then she told me
hers were the thrills that
leave men wanting…more and more and
I thought to myself, yeah right,
just another bitch thinking she's all that
but now like…a horror show
these memories of her are
fleeting through my mind, haunting me
guess she was right all along
‘cause I’m missing what I had
chills......still run through
baby got some skills
I never shoulda pushed up on her
couldn't help myself, couldn’t resist
somehow she ignited something within me
I never knew existed
love had erupted
and between us, it would just flow
now I'm enraged
I mean…I told her I wasn't sure I was capable
…of this love shit
but now the love won’t quit
she was always there…you know
me coming home after a long day of dealing with those
alpha ego’s, fake identities, and alternate endings
she would always help me forget about all that bullshit
and kept me focused on all the new beginnings
that were coming our way, always keeping us on the same page
now I can’t understand why she wouldn’t stay
why I had to be forsaken
knowing I’m out here getting this money
doing what it takes to
make sure she never lacks, or wants for anything
she was my life, my purpose, all these hours, all these days
just up and left, what I can’t make mistakes?
Love
yeah right, more like

RAGE!

Loving You Forever

Photobucket

As moonbeams were glistening across the river’s surface, they laughed and played with youthful vivacity while skinny dipping. Their inhibitions had flown free and lit up the evening sky. Splashing, embracing, that first kiss, all in defiance of a world from which a dictate stated that to love each other was forbidden.

Too young to understand, too young to even care, all they knew was, there was a longing inside they held for each other that needed to be satisfied. That moment came as they walked to the river’s edge and relinquished their virginity to one another. It was more than making love, it was a love declaration.

Promising each other that the love they were sharing would last through out this lifetime and that nothing would ever come between them. How naïve this would prove to be as they were only students in high school without a care in the world. Still trying to find their direction.

Her upbringing was seen as privileged while his was seen as instability. While her Mother was in full support, her Father was adamantly against it and threatened to disown her if their involvement continued. His family was fully supportive although they sternly warned him against his attempt to subvert the obstacle of prejudice. They managed to sneak around for months on end, seeing each other at school and whenever they could outside of it.

Their relationship continued this way as the school years passed and when the time for graduation came around, her Father took measures into his hands and sent her away to college effectively putting an end to the relationship. They both went on to live happy and productive lives.

That was 30 years ago when the world was still seeing through a black and white lens. She was white and he was black

Now as they stand before each other in the shopping center, both temporarily having come back to their hometown for various reasons. The excitement and energy flows between them as it once did. They talk about the old times. How they met, what they shared  and what may have been. Before leaving to go their separate ways once again, she reveals that her son was name after him while he imparts his daughter was named after her.
