I.
Haven't you seen me glad
Have I not consistently imparted my optimism
Has not my epitaph been engraved in your heart
Still my belief in you will never wane
II.
You dared cast your glance upon me
In that instant, for me, a reawakening
My renunciation of solidarity notwithstanding
Suddenly, across my minds eye, a tableau of fervent expressions
III.
How could it have been, my conscious perceiving, allured by perfidious notions
Having bid farewell to somber transgressions
Ours was to be a sacred dance, triumphant
Perhaps swinging too far on the pendulum I had remained
IV.
To flames kindled with ambiguity, normally I have an aversion
Fault my foresight, saw what I wanted to see, the end of separation
Amidst this trice we’ve shared, this chance, the love of my hope emerged
What fate shall grant us, I am amenable unto
Rory
