Celebrating Love

In celebration of Valentine's Day, below are the collected haiku's and/or poems that were submitted by members of my Facebook author page. Each person who submits a haiku or love poem is automatically entered into the raffle giveaway.

Soft

Soft is the feeling of comfort
When it surrounds you
And keeps you warm

Soft can be what you feel
When you think of someone
Soft can be the feeling of Love

I close my eyes
To dream of you
Only with you
Can I open them

Valentine Lovers

(haiku's)

Valentine lovers
A mysterious wonder
Like a double rainbow

As deep red roses
Shine the garden of ours hearts
Immortal pretty

l picked them each day
Red flowers from the meadow
But none like you

Sated
(haiku's)

Blood flows sudden surge
Saturation overflow
Desire engulfing

Breathless murmurs thrill
With passions voice caressing
Fused limbs intertwined

Sated in your arms
Serene Slumbers afterglow
Smiling lips embrace

Soft snowflake kisses
So numerous, lightly touch
Drifting in the sheets

WHO ARE YOU?

(haiku)

You are my true love
I see your image in dreams
Please reveal yourself

MY VALENTINE

(haiku)

No need for flowers
Or presents or chocolates
All I want is you

AGING LOVE
(haiku)

Love changes with age
Sex is not as important
Holding your hand is

Untitled
(haiku's)

oh heart of my heart
breath meets your warm beating soul
forever be mine

cupid’s bow show me
sting of love within your core
infatuation

carnal knowledge sifts
a sensual rendezvous
come hither to me

Enough
(haiku's)

Coming to my shore
Waves of delightful passion
Receding in joy

Two become one,
Bodies, souls meshed in desire
Nothing else matters.

Aching, wanting, touch
Loving, needing, exploring you
Fulfillment, enough

Lost in Translation, Again

Someone tell me what to do
Why is no one listening?
My heart is broken, my mind in despair.
Will no one come to my side?
I am forced to quiet my inner self.
The storm is beginning to pass, slowly.
Who just said that? Did I hear someone?
“You already know what to do”.
There it is again. That annoying voice.
So, why won’t somebody help me?
I don’t know what to do.

Loving sweet smooth voice
Whispers to awaken him
An icy heart melts

WISH
(haiku's)

Naked in my sheets
I lay back and think of you
Wishing you were here

Sensuous stories
Whispered in each others ears
Erotic tongues tease

Enter the dragon
Fire too hot to subdue
Now I drift to you

Hera's Incarnation(s)

     (in haiku)

Illumination

her regal aura
erases my skepticism
still pinching myself

Mindful

smiled when I saw you
I shall extol the heavens
divinely smitten

Cognizant

your loving spirit
a vestige of hope long lost
I recognize you

Assent

I must give credence
my veneration ignited
pentecostal flames

Just Because

(from the book Spirit, Rhythms, Words)

Damn! My woman is ooh so fine
She could’ve had anybody
Whatever it was in the cosmos that caused her to be mine
I Have to admit it, I’m pretty lucky
Still not sure, why it is she loves me
Often I keep her up at night
...because of my snoring
(or so she says)
She’ll sit and watch hoops with me
Even though she thinks it’s boring
She brings me things
Although I may have failed to say please
Drops everything
Whenever I need help finding my keys
(then she laughs)
She cooks, cleans
Keeps me physically gratified
. . . when it comes to her mutual satisfaction
Well at least she knows I try

Careless
Forgetful
“Why is it so hard to put things where they belong”
Overly gaseous
Foul mouth

Amongst the dozens of other complaints
Quite admirable I must say
The way she exercises her restraint
I often ask her why she continues loving me
Her one and only response has always been
“Just because”
